Zoom Into Reading

Our at-home reading program:

Encourages good reading habits

For each 15 minutes of reading time, initial one square on your Zoom into Reading form. When the form is complete, have mom or dad sign it and then bring it to school. 

Have fun reading! Remember, reading is an adventure! 

How to help with reading skills at home:

Have your child read aloud for fifteen minutes every night

bullet

Ask open ended questions about the story (Why do you think the character did that?)

bullet

Ask about the main idea or moral of the story

bullet

Ask about the setting, main characters, plot

bullet

Read aloud to your child to model fluency and inflection
