Support Mike McGavick campaign by burning a Video CD to hand out to your neighbors and friends

Update 7:44pm September 1 2006. A Change in methodolgy dictates using .BIN and .CUE format files for writing a VideoCD image. Use NERO 6 or EasyCD software to burn a VCD starting from a .CUE /.BIN image file. Download these two files and then burn a blank CD into a VideoCD. Try it and let me know what you think. of the 5 McGavick Campaign commercials. Begin by right clicking each of the two links below and selecting "save link as". Save the 2 files in the same directory.

With todays high speed Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) internet access available to many neighborhoods, one person can download a single large (50MB to 700MB in size) ISO9660 format image file. That single image file can be burned to a blank CD creating a Video CD and then handed out to his/her neighbors for them to play in their stand alone DVD player. This is a fantastic medium to introduce Mike McGavick's Senate Campign to your neighbors.

What technology do I need to help Mike's 2006 Senate Campaign?
• High Speed Internet Access: DSL, Cable, or FIOS
• Computer with 700MB of disk free space. Linux, WINXP, or MAC
• CD Writer Drive or DVD Burner Driver. Note: Most 4 year and older CD drives were just CD-ROM Readers. They can't write to a blank CD. They can only read. A stack of Blank CD-R disks that you can buy at an office supply or computer store or Radio Shack. Blank disk cost around $25 for 100 disks or about 25 cents per disk. Giving your neighbor a 25 cent VCD disk to play on his DVD player is a minimal contribution to help Mike McGavick become Senator.
• CD burner(writer) software that has the ability to burn the .BIN/.CUE Video FILES to blank CD.
  The .BIN Binary file holds the binary data to burn to disk.
  The .CUE file is the text file listing the track information for the .BIN format file.
• File Transfer Protocol (FTP) or Bit Torrent software to download the image file from the internet and also to help propagate the file to other bit torrent users

• Finally the two files to burn to the blank CD, creating a Video CD. Start Windows Media Player or other Media Player software. In Windows Media Player, Select --> "open VideoCD". Now you can see the commercials on your computer.

This will let the Bit Torrent software SEED the VideoCD .BIN/.CUE files for other people to download after you finish your download. This makes it quicker for the next person to download the file you just downloaded


3. Burn the .bin video file to several Blank CD's. Walk your neighbor hood handing out Video CD's to your neighbors.
